We at VMS know there are options when choosing a veterinary specialist to provide the best care and treatment options for your pets. Since 2008, we have been dedicated to providing exceptional veterinary medicine to the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and surrounding areas. VMS offers a compassionate and professional environment within a 24-hour veterinary hospital. Our specialists in veterinary internal medicine and cardiology partner with the emergency clinic team that makes up the Animal Emergency Hospital of North Texas to provide care for your hospitalized pet 24-hours per day. We value open communication with our clients and referring veterinarians, focus on patient-centered care, and provide quality medicine.
Skilled Veterinary Specialists
VMS has highly trained doctors who specialize in internal medicine and cardiology. After earning a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, a specialist will pursue additional years of education and training. This include an internship (1 year) and residency (2-3 years) in their respective specialty, followed by successful completion of rigorous board examinations. Our doctors lecture at continuing education seminars for veterinarians, and enjoy getting to know the veterinarians who work with us.
Our hospital building offers the ability to collaborate with other veterinary specialists in the fields of surgery, dermatology, ophthalmology, and physical rehabilitation.
Exceptional Service and Compassionate Care
We take great pride in the level of care and the services we provide to our clients, patients, and referring veterinarians. Patient care is more than just the medicine; we are committed to ensuring our clients’ questions and concerns are addressed and that our patients are well attended. Our doctors take the time to thoroughly evaluate your pet, explain the abnormalities or disease that is present, describe the diagnostic tests that are indicated, and ultimately guide you through the treatment options presented. It is vital that our clients and referring veterinarians understand what is happening with these beloved patients. Our skilled veterinary staff is individually selected for their respective skills, empathy towards patients and their owners, and strong communication skills. We know that our patients come to VMS because of a serious medical concern, and we are here to help.
Advanced Technology
Diagnostic tests provide valuable information when problem-solving an animal patient. The physical examination is the first step, but many illness require a deeper look. Our doctors are trained to perform and interpret the following diagnostic tests: digital radiographs, abdominal and thoracic ultrasound, echocardiogram (cardiac ultrasound), CT, and endoscopy of the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory tract, and urinary tract. MRI studies are performed at another location within the Metroplex. Laboratory testing available in-house allows efficient basic metabolic screening, and more complete or advanced laboratory tests are submitted to veterinary reference laboratories.
Comprehensive Services
VMS patients present with a wide assortment of internal medicine and cardiac diseases. We offer many diagnostic tests and therapeutic options, based on patient need and owner education. We work with the other specialists on our building as well as our emergency clinic who is available 7 days per week, 24 hours per day to collectively provide the best services to our patients. VMS values working in a team approach with clients and referring veterinarians to provide the best care for our mutual patients.
